My name is Janice Buffalow, I have always had an interest in art but never pursued it actively. After playing with several mediums, I proudly consider myself as an artist of photography, pencil drawing, and painting in acrylics using palette knives.
I love working with palette knives to create my art with a flair for impressionism. Monet has been my inspiration for many years along with Picasso, Manet, and Renoir. My greatest find was through my lifetime partner, Dave, who showed me some work by Jennifer Vranes. I loved her work and style and after attending an online class, I was hooked and am now a lifetime member of her Dabblers Club. I continue to learn new techniques of using a palette knife to "sculpt-in" tree trunks and other textures on canvas and/or card stock. I now use a variety of palette knives, paint brushes, sponges, post-palette skins, and an occasional piece of cardboard with medium acrylic paints, gloss gel, and modeling paste to create my style of what she is teaching. If you are interested in purchasing my work, click on contact me; there is a special discount for "FAMILY and FRIENDS". If you would like one of my pieces customized to your specific needs, we can discuss creating a commissioned painting especially for you. Thank you for visiting my website and I look forward to becoming friends and partners through my artwork. Janice |
